BelJoy About

BÉLJOY IS A DISTINCT LINE OF HANDCRAFTED JEWELRY PRODUCED IN HAITI + THE US BY LOCAL ARTISANS. BÉLJOY OFFERS MEN + WOMEN IN HAITI THE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN A DIGNIFIED AND CONSISTENT WAGE THROUGH THE ART OF JEWELRY MAKING. BY TEACHING THIS TRADE AND PAYING A SUPERIOR WAGE, WE HOPE TO ENCOURAGE WOMEN AND EMPOWER THEM TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR FAMILIES.

Why Haiti?

Haiti is the poorest country in the western hemisphere with 80% of its citizens living below the poverty threshold. Jobs are few and far between. Despite the challenges, the people of Haiti are full of joy and full of hope. We believe the best solution to help people rise out of systemic poverty is the creation of job opportunities - opportunities that will allow the people of Haiti to provide for their families and create security.

Béljoy creates jobs and works with the Haitian people to develop their skills in a way that is dignified, significant, and profitable to the artisans. We also look for opportunities to support the communities  our artisans belong to through education, medical needs, microloans, and more. With a heartbeat for families, our hope is to see the people of Haiti flourish. Béljoy is so much more than jewelry; it is a movement that is restoring dignity and inspiring change. Every purchase made directly affects lives in Haiti and increases the opportunity to bless others.

We are committed to the local sourcing of jewelry components like clay, paper beads, and horn. This makes Béljoy jewelry unique, beautiful, and meaningful to the artisans and to those who wear it. The use of locally sourced elements also enables us to support other Haitian artisans.

Béljoy collaborates with the Starfish Program through Touch of Hope Haiti, to support our in-country production. We invite you to contact us about visiting our production site in Simonette.

Our Name: ‘Béljoy’

The Haitian people have changed our lives, showing us that true joy, despite circumstance, can only come from Jesus. That joy inspires the name Béljoy: BÉL means beautiful in Haiti's native language of Creole. The Haitians’ glad hearts are beautiful and their faces are a clear reflection of the JOY they have.

Restoring dignity and inspiring change,

Abby Clevenger - Founder

ByTavi About

OUR HANDS TO YOURS

OUR HANDS TO YOURS

We are participants of the slow fashion movement. We believe in quality over quantity and handmade over mass produced. From our hands to yours a BYTAVI product is produced with care. The fabric is hand selected, the pattern is cut and given to a BYTAVI seamstress to bring to completion. Her hands are in the process from first stitch to proudly signing her name on the finished product.

The BYTAVI line is produced under fair trade trade principles by a team of talented seamstresses in Cambodia where poverty is widespread. The production process is not hurried or pressured. It is fair. Each seamstress receives a fair wage at the end of the week. It is safe. Each staff member and seamstress is valued as a person as we maintain a safe and holistic work environment.

Put On Love Co About

Put on Love Co features handmade jewelry with an emphasis on using quality, ethically sourced metals. Each pair of earrings is handmade by me, Rachel Barkley, in my home in Round Rock, TX, and your purchase provides for my family (thank you!).

As a believer, wife, mom of three kids and former worship leader I have battled for victory in my thought life for years and worked hard to develop healthy, truth-filled mindsets leading to an overcoming life. My heart for this company is to help give other women tangible reminders to “put on” healthy mindsets in the same way that they carefully choose their clothing and accessories each day. Each design is named after a woman I admire and a healthy mindset I hope to inspire in your life. 10% of your Put on Love Co. purchase also goes directly to CarePortal, a ministry providing for children and families in crisis in the central Texas area.

I truly hope you feel great about your purchase, knowing it is a quality, handmade product that will help kids in need and help women believe truth. (Also, they are really gorgeous, trendy designs!) I encourage you to pause and remember the name of the jewelry before you put it on each day and think of the meaning throughout the day. This habit will reinforce healthy, overcoming mindsets in your life!

Thank you!
Rachel Barkley

AHA Crafted About

The Aha Crafted collections are built from the surroundings, activities and people we personally fill our lives with. We gather inspiration from the surf community, nature, art, yoga, musicians and mysticism in daily life. Each and every day we put our creative energies to work to build jewelry with quality materials that inspire. We don't skimp on the materials we use and we don't ever plan on doing so. Each earring is still handcrafted in our Southern California studio. A lot of love and positive energy is put into these gems, and trust us when we say... “you’ll feel that vibration passed down when you put them on”.

COMMUNITY
Neither myself or Jamie for saw it happening this way but our earrings have become more than just a product. There is a sense of community that has started to form around the Aha Brand. The shape is original and recognizable even from afar and because of this it has a way of bringing people together. We receive countless stories of how it connects people who might not have been drawn together otherwise. Women recognize Ahas on others and it often serves as an ice breaker.  Friendships are formed and people realize they only have a few degrees of separation from each-other. Our earrings have organically created #TheAhaTribe.

The Aha earrings have become a symbol of embracing that simplistic clarity and being present and connected to your true being. With that consciousness, a door opens to so much more. It creates a vessel that enables one to have time and energy to give back to community, families, mother nature and just as important; one's self.

So find the Ahas that speak to you. Wear them with a smile, feel their flow and how they personally connect with you as a unique and beautiful individual.

Live light. Be Light.
